I'm finally caught up on most of my shows. I think, anyway. I didn't realise until the other week, when I was writing a list of episodes I needed to catch up on, exactly how many shows I actually watch. One would think I don't work for a living or have anything resembling a social life the amount I watch, but somehow I manage to squeeze it in.

I'm caught up on Leverage. Not much to say on that except I'm liking Tara, but I want Sophie back so they can totally double-team and be AWESOME. In fact, I want see these two and Parker doing a con on their own. That would just be epic. And maybe Hardison can like... guest star.

Me and mum are almost up-to-date on Bones. God, I love this show. I love how awesome every single character is. I love how the cast are just so... just perfect. I love the Brennan/Booth dynamic. I love Angela because she's this kickass woman who loves sex and gets upset about piglets and she just totally owns who she is. And I love that. I love them all.

You know, when I first heard about how they cast the characters for Vampire Diaries, I was really pissed off. And when I watched a couple of episodes, I was even more pissed off. None of the characters were the quirky, badass characters from the books. I mean, Elena is supposed to be this completely kickass teenager who's a little bit selfish and a little bit self-centred, but totally knows what she wants and how to get it. And that changes a little throughout the books, but her fundamental character does not. She's strong and takes no crap. She's not quiet and meek and soft-spoken. That's not who she is. But that's what they've made her in the show.

But... I say this and I say that the characters aren't who they're supposed to be, and they're not, but I still sort of... love the show. When Caroline is on form and not being a sucker for Damon's crap, she's a little bit awesome. And I think she has the potential to be a lot awesome.

TV!Bonnie is a weird mix of book!Bonnie and book!Meredith. I do miss book!Bonnie and I was really looking forward to seeing this fiery redhead with crazy dreams of dying young etc. on my screen, but I like TV!Bonnie, mostly because she's not just a sidekick. She has her own story and her own history and I like that.

Damon is one of my favourite characters in the book. I ship Damon/Bonnie unashamedly. And Ian Somerhalder plays him dead-on. Maybe he's a little more over-the-top than book!Damon, but I like it. What I don't like is how they're making Damon far more ruthless than he ever was in the books. Yeah, Damon's the bad guy, but he was somewhat redeemable in the books. This Damon? I don't know if he will ever be redeemable. I love his character, I do, and I love how good he's made this show, but when I see the crap he pulls, I think to myself... why? Sure, he's the anti-hero and he's not meant to be a good guy. But he's not meant to be that cruel, either. The way he treats Caroline, Lexi and Bree is just not justifiable in any way.

I don't know. I find it strange that I'm still really enjoying the show despite my many problems with it.

I still need to catch up on a few episodes of Fringe and Friday Night Lights. Oh, Tim Riggins, you're still my favourite.

I watched the first ten episodes of Flashforward. I'd like to say I love the show, but I don't. I like it and I'll probably watch the new episodes in my spare time, but I'm not dying to know what happens next.

Does anyone know when Lie to Me is back?

Oh, and I've finally started re-watching Lost. I watched the first season back in uni but I'm one of those people who get really impatient when I don't get answers fast enough. I don't mind waiting a few weeks to find out what happens or whatever, but dragging mysteries on not only a full season but a full six-year run is just too much for me. So I said that once it was drawing to a close I'd start catching up in time for the final season. It better pay off after all this! Abrams totally kicks ass at these epic story archs but if Alias is anything to go by, the end result will leave a lot to be desired.

And that's me done, I think. A whole post about TV. Hmmmm. Can you tell I've been trying to save money by staying in during the week?
